nonprofit career vision rehabilitation services white cane

253 million people live with vision impairment:
36 million are blind & 217 million have moderate to severe vision impairment.

Why Fundraising Events?

The need for VRS’ services is great. Everyone may not be aware that vision rehabilitation is NOT covered by insurance. You can break a hip or have a heart attack and rehab; but if you lose your vision there is no paid rehabilitation available.

Direct Donations

There are times when VRS does not have a funding source to meet the needs of a client’s request. Fundraising events and direct donations allow VRS to place funding where it is most needed. Donations and sponsorships help us cover this gap in funding.

Volunteers are Needed

We also have ongoing support groups and client activities where volunteers are needed. So, please review what’s coming up and check back often as we update the list.
